Rod "Rambo" Lenette (10th February, 1967- 23rd May, 2017)  was a British professional champion armwrestler.
Life and Career
Lenette began armwrestling in 1986 while serving in the British Army, being initially trained by Clive Myers. A multiple time British, European, and world champion, Lenette was diagnosed with lipodystrophy, diabetes and pancreatitis at the age of 25. In 2003 he suffered kidney failure, and needed dialysis for six years before a kidney transplant was available. In 2011, he was the subject of the documentary I'm Back, chronicling his recovery and comeback to the sport. He designed an arm wrestling table called The Grappler.
His notable British National Championship placings include: 1st (R, 85kg division) 1993; 1st (R, 85kg), 1st (L, 90kg) and 3rd (R, overall) 1999; 1st (R, 85kg) 1st (L, 90kg) 2000.
Lenette died on May 23rd, 2017 at the age of 50.
